With over 11 years of experience combined as a fashion and wedding photographer, Kate & her associates offer a truly unique and exceptional experience as your team. After 5 years of shooting fashion, Kate fell in love with the intimate and genuine storytelling of weddings and the beauty that comes from every in between moment.
Our most popular investment is our customized wedding and elopement packages. We work with our couples to create the best option for their specific needs. Our approach and style is editorial and lighthearted, with as much hands-on direction as needed. We build a beautiful narrative of your day through natural portraiture, candids, beautiful details, and everything in between. And yes, our party pics are top notch too :)
Once we create the right package for you, we are as hands on as we can be with your timeline, location scouting, and offering up any suggestions and advice you may need leading up to your wedding. We also offer all in house editing and deliverables to ensure cohesiveness and consistency in our final product.
As editorial photographers, we have a deep love for destination weddings and travel outside of NYC & LA. We welcome any chance to jet set, and will customize options based on just this.
Please do not hesitate to reach out and inquire about travel options.
We find our couples truly value incredible portraits of the two of them prior to their wedding day. This is the perfect chance to get to know one another, and have it be a fun and lighthearted session. We will help with every detail, including location ideas, outfit inspiration, and advice for easing your nerves (champagne or whiskey helps!).
As Kate likes to jokingly say, “We have no problem bossing you around”! These sessions are meant to be fun and relaxed, and will be uniquely tailored to your own personalities.
With the experience of fine art and fashion photography, I work with designers, as well as wedding vendors, to create beautiful editorials for campaigns and print. Fashion and weddings have so many beautiful similarities that often lead to some incredible client relationships, and some of my favorite work.
As our experience has grown over the years, we have learned that every wedding we have the honor of photographing is unique. Because of this, we find it is important to build custom options for each client based on all of their details and needs. Please contact us to request a specific outline of your investment options and next steps.
Travel rates are dependent on a variety of factors, and are customized based on your specific wedding. This is something we would discuss and build into your package as a flat rate, and we would take care of everything else. We try to keep the costs low, and always love the opportunity to travel, so don’t hesitate to ask!
We have a small group of trusted associate photographers that step in as a second shooter if that is necessary for the type of wedding you are having. All of our associates are extremely experienced with our aesthetic and approach to documenting your day, and have over 5 years experience working together.
It typically takes our team around 4-6 weeks to finalize and deliver all of your photographs. We spend a lot of time individually touching up and editing each and every one of your final photos, and we do all of our final editing in house (we do not outsource to another retoucher to edit). With that being said, we always deliver a preview of photographs to our couples shortly after their wedding day to make the waiting process a little more tolerable!
We document you and your loved ones with an editorial and modern approach to wedding photography. We tell your story as a couple, and your wedding day as a whole thru natural portraiture, candids, and beautiful details. Every moment is important to us, and every in between glance or kiss is remembered. We take pride in documenting a couples wedding day with warm direction and no forced or stiff poses, giving your love the chance to tell its own story.
We think it is very important to be as hands on as possible with your wedding timeline. We want to make sure there is enough time throughout the day for all the photographs you would want, and make sure we can incorporate natural light as much as possible until the sun sets.
With Kate’s background in fashion photography, she finds her expertise in giving as much direction as needed throughout the day to capture your wedding in its best light. From the beginning of the planning process, we are there to help you sort out all of those details so your wedding day flows smoothly.
We are extremely detail oriented and experienced when it comes to documenting every moment of your day. We ensure that you will have more photos than you could ever dream of, but if there are any key people or specifics we may not be aware of, those are the details you should include in a shot list.
We also request a detailed list of any family members you wish to be included in formal portraits, as to not miss anyone of importance!
We do! One of the most common things we hear from our couples is that they dont necessarily LOVE getting their photos taken, or that they dont really know what they’re doing when it comes to being photographed. Well we assure you that is completely normal! We want your engagement session to be fun and easygoing. An engagement session is the perfect chance for us to get to know one another, for you to feel comfortable in front of the camera, and for you to experience being photographed together.
We find that an engagement session helps our clients feel more at ease on the big day. We want you to pick a place (or a few) that you feel comfortable with, and just relax knowing that we will give you as much direction as needed. Just focus on being in love, and the reason why we’ve all come together (with a camera)…to celebrate the both of you. And when in doubt, try drinking a glass of champagne before we meet! ;)
Picking a location(s) that means something to the both of you is really the most important thing. These locations could be a neighborhood you met for your first date or cozy in an at home session. It could be a favorite street, park, beach, or even a favorite hike! These are just a few examples of what could work for you as a couple. Give some thought to what you want this shoot to look like. Do you want a gritty city feel, an urban minimal setting, or lots of green and nature? Just know, there is no wrong answer.
When it comes to what the two of you wear, whatever you are most comfortable in is what you should go with. And keeping in mind the locations we decide on can alter those decisions as well. For example, you wouldn’t necessarily want to wear heels on a nature hike..duh. We have had couples wear festive fun outfits for a perfect city look, or blue jeans and sneakers to make the lifting up and getting tangled up in each others arms easier ;)
Because of our weddings being scheduled on the weekends, our availability is very limited for Saturday/Sunday time slots. Most of our couples opt for a weekday, which also allows for quieter environments and less crowds! Also, there are certain times of the day that tend to be “better lighting”. Sunrise or sunset are the best time of day to get that golden hour light. If that is not doable, then an overcast day is also good lighting. Full mid day sun is the worst. So depending on when we schedule our session together, we can decide on the best time to make the most out of the lighting/location.
